Doppelgänger
"Doppelgänger" delves into the concept of emotional dualism. Using a pinhole camera, I create double exposure images that craft the illusion of twins interacting within the same frame. Through staged poses and extended exposures, I capture multiple layers of myself in a single image, evoking a sense of metaphysical interaction.
This body of work embraces an exaggerated atmosphere that mirrors the dramatic compositions. Engaging in role-playing with myself, I manifest various guises within a singular visual narrative, each carrying its own symbolic meaning.
The decision to employ a pinhole camera, despite the convenience of modern digital methods, is a deliberate choice. This choice echoes the early days of photographic technology and enhances the evocative quality of the images, amplifying their timeless allure and emotional depth.
